How does false religion expect us to believe that God is unknowable?

so then a mind that is infinitely omniscient could exercise complete government over the entire universe, but it can't possibly have a self-awareness and personal fellowship with man? It's ridiculous to think that an all-powerful, all-knowing eternal mind is unknowable to man. If God didn't have self-awareness of his own personal attributes, neither would man. God can be known by revelation already pre-ordained into history. Why do so many religious ppl say that God is completely cut off from man?
