Why is there overwhelmingly so many more gay males in the media/hollywood than females...?

Guys seem to come out by the minute, I can't keep up with them! Adam Lambert, Clay Aiken, George Michael, Elton John, Freddie Mercury, Ricky Martin, Lance Bass, Boy George, John Barrowman, Neil Patrick Harris, Chris Colfer, all these huge/popular famous male stars. It's like there's not even half as many lesbians, I know there is a few, but not a lot. There's a lot more gay males, why?
