I know this guy who has never had a girlfriend before...?

and barely even talks to girls. Lately his friends have been noticing him talking about me which is apparently the first time he has ever talked about a girl at all. Not anything special, just brings me up and talks about conversations we've had. But he obviously has no idea how to talk to a girl he likes because he is 17 and has zero experience. So I guess my question is... how can you tell if a guy likes you that has never dated anyone and doesn't know how to even approach the situation? I kind of like him and just want to know what's going on. I have already taken a little bit of action, but he hasn't done or said anything back. Though his friends are pretty convinced that he likes me. Boys confuse me and I just need some help since my guy friends can't even explain. Thanks! :)
