Is 18 Years old too old to get Godparents?

My mother ordained this woman to be my god mother when i was abt 13 nd im almost 18 and feel no connection. My bday is in a few days and she is still asking me wen is my bday wen she should knw! we dont hang out she promises to spend time and we don't i dont talk 2 her when im going through it .. it's just pointless.. but ive met another woman since then and she has helped take care of me bought me clothes and everything and i rly see her as a figure. she wants to be my God mom and i was just wondering is it impossible or to late for me 2 get dedicated to her. She means a lot to me.. i tried googling this and there was nothing soo can some1 please help. thank you very much!
